The project is designed with a strong focus on greenhouse gas reduction and energy efficiency. All building systems will be fully electric, including hot water, heat pumps with air conditioning, and ERV air handling units.

In addition, the development will meet or exceed Energy Step Code 3 standards. This includes R40 roof insulation, R14 wall insulation (or higher depending on energy modeling), and insulated foundation walls. Windows and doors will feature low U-values and low SHGC ratings to maximize efficiency. Energy-saving measures such as motion detector lights, motion-activated water faucets in public restrooms, and LED lighting throughout both the interior and exterior will also be implemented.
